Let's focus on detoxing for the next few days. Detoxification means cleaning the blood. Toxins are processed for elimination in the liver, kidneys, intestines, lymph, and the list goes on. Detoxing the body is basically internal bathing. Creativity has allowed us so many ways to detox. My favorite is the raw food diet, while incorporating plenty of water. The diet includes eating only fruits and vegetables. Another way to detox is the Master Cleanser, known also as the beverage of Stanley Burroughs. This detox includes 2 tablespoons of real lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of organic maple syrup and one-tenth teaspoon of cayenne pepper in 8 ounces of purified water. For those of you who can, fasting from all food for 3 days, drinking nothing but water, is another well known method of detoxing. It doesn't really mater which way you choose to detox. What matters is that you come to the realization that you must detox and do whatever you need to do to take care of your body! Live right, eat right, and look good!

Did you know that just 15 minutes a day could get you closer to your weight loss goals, in less than 30 days? Challenge yourself for the next 30 days by making the following adjustments. Start off by using the stairs instead of the elevator when in large buildings(don't over do it). Replace pop and juice with health shakes, water and Crystal Light. Choose a exercise of your choice for 15 minutes each day, faithfully! Replace one of your daily meals with a bowl of healthy cereal or salad. More importantly, drink as much water as possible each day.  I guarantee that you will see a huge difference with your weight and feel better about yourself!

The holidays will be here before you know it. Soon you will start hearing and seeing all the traditional foods we all eat, during the holiday season. Then you will start thinking about your favorite treats. Shortly after, you will find yourself indulging in some, if not all of your food addictions. Furthermore, you will have temptation to indulge over and over again. This type of eating behavior calls for some immediate actions, ahead of time. It is in your best interest to come up with a control plan right now! Let's face it, you are going to eat some, if not all the tasty treats that you want; you just need to be smart about the situation. My sincere hope is to equip you with some tips that may make this eating situation better for you. With the above mentioned, maybe you should eliminate pop/soda completely, during the holiday season. The huge amount of sugar could only make things worst. Also, increasing your water intake will make a huge difference in how you feel, especially when you consume a lot of fatty foods. More importantly, try to exercise at least an hour per day: this will help with weight gain tremendously, during this season. If you can, try to avoid butter, gravy and salt. In addition, try to drink a full glass of water, or eat a nice portion of fruit before every meal; this will help with overeating. Try to limit your time in the kitchen to 1 hour, and then leave and go get some fresh air. Start off eating out of a bowl instead of a huge plate of food. Do not lay down or go to sleep after each meal. Do not skip meals. Do not eat after 8:00 P.M. Do not fix yourself 2 plates!!! Overall, you are in control of you. You have to take control of your habits and learn to treat your body right. More importantly, you have to love yourself, which means taking care of your body.

It’s about time we lose this weight for once and for all. Let’s get out of the business of temporary weight loss. Back and forth to the weight loss clinic; In and out of the gym; Up and down the weight fluctuates on the scale as you stand on it anxiously every week. How many times are we going to put ourselves through this.
