First of all, we really need to sit down and take the time to analyze our daily routine and consumptions. Most of all, we have to be honest with ourselves. For example, are you lazy? Do you eat/snack all day? Do you exercise? Do you eat healthy foods? Do you drink plenty of water? Do you take the stairs or the elevator? Do you sleep a lot? What type of work do you do? How many times do you eat at the restaurant during the week? Do you eat according to your mood? Are you stressed? Are you happy? Do the people you hang around have bad eating habits? The list could go on and on but I think you get the picture. If you answered yes to 3 or more of these questions you need to think about making some serious lifestyle changes and start forming new habits that will benefit you in the long run. It’s not easy but if you really care about yourself and you really want to feel good during the time you have here on earth than you will do it! Your weight effects your self-esteem, your self-esteem effects your attitude; your attitude effects your behavior; and your behavior effects the people around you which may be that sweet little child of yours that doesn’t understand why mommy is so angry or that wife/husband of yours that just want the person that he/she married.

Stop eating when you’re not hungry and try drinking water or having a chat with someone you love or value instead. Stand while watching TV vs. sitting. When you get upset, go write a long letter to yourself explaining how you have control over your anger and you’re not going to take your anger out on your body. Find all the healthy stuff you like first then follow with all other needs. Have a contest with your family/friends or co-workers on who can go the longest without eating fast food or at the restaurant. Start the pot at $20 per person and have each person agree to pay 10.00 every time they cheat. Try to hold the contest for at least a month. Analyze how much money you saved and how much weight you dropped. (Have fun)
